

Mr. Kornmiller started his career in '87 with the Columbus America Discovery Group, a deep ocean salvage company, which recovered 3 tons of gold from the sunken steamship S.S. Central America. As manager of information systems, he designed and supported their business IT infrastructure.
He joined Checkfree in '92 as Product Development Manager for the National Business unit. In this role he helped to design innovative payment solutions for nationally recognized companies. Working with companies such as America Online, CompuServe, and MSN before the advent of the Internet, he was instrumental in designing electronic commerce solutions for this rapidly growing industry. Responding to concerns with online fraud, he worked closely with the services providers to develop techniques for screening and verification.
While at Checkfree, he also developed the Account Balance Transfer product, the first system designed to electronically transfer balances from one consumer credit card to another. His efforts supported important strategic developments for Checkfree as it leveraged the existing consumer payment infrastructure to expand into the emerging business to business payments arena.
In '95 he joined Stewart MacDonald's Manufacturing as Manager of Information Systems where he successfully expanded sales and operational efficiencies by migrating their legacy systems to an e-commerce platform. He played a key role in designing and implementing a payment processing and customer service infrastructure that enabled Stewart MacDonald's to extend their market leadership position onto the Internet.
Early in '00 Mr. Kornmiller brought his interactive systems and corporate commerce expertise to expand the ranks of e-com partners and address market demand in these areas. During '01 he formed and managed Functional Media, an Internet design firm specializing in web development, e-commerce solutions and technical service. Michael is currently Assistant Director of Marketing at Diagnostic Hybrids, Inc.
Mr. Kornmiller holds a BA in Operations Management from The Ohio State University.
